Communion

Within Christianity the word communion can refer to:

• Communion - a close relationship between Christian Churches or communities, and by metonymy a group of such Churches or communities that recognize the existence between them of such a relationship, especially if it can be characterized as full communion.
• The Communion of Saints, the concept of a link binding together all Christians (whom the New Testament calls "saints" (holy people) because of their consecration to God and Christ) and enabling them to share common blessings (holy things)
• Communion as the Eucharist in its entirety or as an aspect of the sacrament.
