The Cross of Coronado is a fictional artifact, an ornamental cross that once belonged to Spanish conquistador Francisco Vásquez de Coronado. The artifact was sought by the fictitious movie character, Indiana Jones, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
As an adolescent in 1912, Jones attempts to prevent a private collector from keeping the Cross, believing that it instead "belongs in a museum." Jones is initially unsuccessful in his attempt, but it is in this adventure that he acquires many of his trademark characteristics, such as his fedora.
Years later, as an adult, Jones successfully steals the Cross back from the collector and donates it to Marcus Brody's museum.
