Dubbing

From Open Encyclopedia

Dubbing is a process of adding, duplicating, or replacing recorded material (usually audio). There are two major forms:

  • Dubbing (filmmaking) – replacing dialogue, either with a foreign language or replacing audio that is poor due to noise or other factors present in the original recording.
  • Dubbing (music) – duplicating a recording, or adding an additional piece of sound to an existing recording (also see audio mixing).
