E & J Gallo Winery

The E & J Gallo Winery was founded in 1933 by Ernest and Julio Gallo in Modesto, California. Its Healdsburg, California facility is managed by two third-generation family members, Matthew and Gina Gallo. E & J Gallo is the second largest wine company in the world, behind Constellation Brands.

Gallo is a pioneering winery in California that recognized from its beginning that consumers wanted wines with easy-to-remember names and that were consistent from year to year. It made purchasing and drinking wines easy and unpretentious.

In addition to its Gallo label, the company produces wines under other labels such as Gossamer Bay, Turning Leaf, Redwood Creek. Livingston Cellars, Peter Vella, Carlo Rossi and, for the hotel and restaurant market, Burlwood, Liberty Creek, and William Wyclif.
