The Modesto Junior College is a community college located in Central Valley's Modesto, California. It often called by its acronym, MJC. Its current president is Dr. Bill Scroggins and its sports teams are referred to as the MJC Pirates.

MJC is regarded as one of the best community colleges in the state. The rate of students who transfer to four-year universities is among the best in the nation. The math department has won the AMATYC community college mathematics competition numerous times. The science department features Professors from the best Universities in the Nation and in the World, and its students generally transfer to the University of California system, and to private universities such as USC, Stanford, Caltech, and MIT. Its Nursing programm boast a great reputation around the state, and its forensic team has beaten four-year universities in National competitions.
